PAGADIAN CITY,
Zamboanga del Sur (February 8, 2018) - Combined PNP elements from the Regional
Special Operations Group of Police Regional Office 9, 902nd Mobile Company-Regional
Mobile Force 9, Dinas Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial
Mobile Force Company conducted law enforcement operations through the service
of warrant of arrests at Sitio Matab-ang, Barangay Benuatan, Dinas, Zamboanga
del Sur at about 10:00am Wednesday (February 7), official said.

officer PCInsp Helen L. Galvez disclosed that the operation was against Salik
Abdulkarim Samin @ “Kumander Karding” (ranked #3 Top Most Wanted People,
Regional Level) and executed through the service of Warrants of Arrest for
Multiple Murder with Double Frustrated Murder
and Multiple Attempted Murder, Murder and Illegal Possession of Firearms
and Ammunitions and Direct Assault.
The said operation
resulted to the neutralization of Salik Abdulkarim Samin and unidentified
individual after they opted to engage the operating troops in a brief gunfight.
Efforts are now undertaken by the operating troops in order to recover firearms
and/or explosives used by the suspect and his cohorts. Meanwhile, the other
unidentified suspect – cohort of the herein-named fugitive was able to elude
arrest.
