Chief, PNP Election Preparation Visit at PRO9

Camp Col. Abendan, Zamboanga City – The PNP should always remain apolitical and non-partisan, this was the message of Police General Oscar D Albayalde, Chief of Philippine Nation Police to men and women of Police Regional Office 9 during his election preparation visit at PRO9 Headquarters, Camp Col Abendan, Zamboanga City on May 10, 2019.  

The Chief PNP was given the traditional foyer honor as upon his arrival to PRO9 Headquarters and was warmly welcome by uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of Police Regional Office 9. Police General Oscar Albayalde along with Police Director General Archie Gamboa, The PNP Deputy Chief for Operations and the designated National Task Force Commander for a safe and secure 2019 elections met with top officials of PRO9 led by Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup to supervise and oversee the PRO9 security preparations for the upcoming 2019 Midterm Elections. 

He assures the public that the PNP are capable of securing the upcoming May 13 mid-term polls as the PNP is already 100 percent prepared for the electoral exercises. He also confidently stressed out that with the cooperation from the public and the laid out security preparation implemented by PNP and AFP, this midterm local and national election would be peaceful and orderly.  
 
Meanwhile, Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the visit of the Chief, PNP and National Task Force Commander for a safe and secure 2019 elections on the Police Regional Office 9 would boost the confidence of their personnel on the ground.


Earlier, the Police Regional Office 9 deployed 6, 517 personnel to ensure the peaceful orderly election on May 13, 2019 and trained 112 police officers to be assigned as Board Of Election Inspectors(BEIs)  in the far flung areas of Zamboanga Peninsula where their services are needed. Some of the troops will serve as members of quick reaction teams, reactionary standby support force, and red teams and headquarters skeletal force.
