1 Killed, 1 Arrested in Law Enforcement Operation at Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 20, 2018) – One killed and one arrested by the Combined elements of PDEA RO IX together with the PDEA ARMM, Zamboanga Sibugay PPO, Provincial Mobile Force Company, 44th IB Phil Army and Kabasalan MPS during the conduct of buy-bust operation at Barangay Poblacion, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 8:15pm of September 17, 2018, police official said.

Police Regional Office 9 PIO Chief PCINSP Helen L. Galvez identified the arrested person as Alkiezer Canda y Cuarto Cruz (Minor) and the neutralization of Jamil Asmad (Killed) (PNP target listed in criminal gang).

Galvez said that one of the targets identified as Ibno Ahod aka ‘Utoh” (At-large) managed to escape.

Galvez disclosed that the operating troops confiscated the following items during the operation were:

Two pcs heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (Buy Bust Evidence) More or less 1.5 kilograms worth Ten-Million two hundred thousand persos Php10,200,000,00,

One  Pink bag pack,

One paper box labelled with Kellogg’s,

One paper box labelled with Milo,

Two plastic cellophane,

One Armscor cal. 45 with serial no. 1382235,

One magazine for Cal 45,

Seven live ammunition for Cal 45,

Two Samsung cellular phone,

One XR 125 black motorcycle with Plate no. LA64160,

One Motorcycle ignition Key,

One black plastic cellophane, Supposed payment of Php1,500,000.00 consisting of one pc.

One thousand Peso Bill bearing serial number EM609539 used as buy bust money placed on top of boodle money.

Galvez said that the Cases for violation of Section 26 in relation to section 5 Article II of RA 9165 are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.

       

Galvez added that the arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to PDEA9 for proper disposition while the cadaver of the suspect was turned over to his family.
