ISABELA CITY, Basilan (Sept. 8, 2018) – The Police
operatives of Isabela City Police Station arrested ASG member during the conduct
of law enforcement operation against most wanted person at Purok Stairway,
Barangay Sumagdang, Isabela City, Basilan at about 8:45 PM of September 6,
2018.
The
operation was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Honourable
Catherine C Fabian Presiding judge, dated 26th of June 2015, at Regional Trial
Court, Branch 16 of 9th Judicial Region with criminal case number 28758 for the
crime of Robbery With Homicide.
The
operating team identified the subject person as one Omaidie S. Salain, Abu
Sayyaf member, Urban Terrorist Group member and included in Zamboanga City
Police Office list of gun for hire personality.
The said
operation was resulted to a firefight resulting to the death of the suspect Omaidie
S Salain.
Following
pieces of evidence were recovered from the suspect were one calibre .45 Taurus pistol
baring Serial number 56110 with chamber loaded, one magazine, six pieces heat
sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance
believed to be shabu, a dangerous drug.
Meanwhile,
six calibre .45 spent shells, 9mm fired cartridge and one 5.56 mm spent shells
were recovered from the crime scene.
