Provincial police director Senior Supt. Sofronio Ecaldre said he ordered the deployment of policemen to the different schools in the entire province.

Ecaldre said that Police Assistance Desks were also established for the immediate response to any call for assistance.

Ecaldre said that personnel from the Provincial Public Safety Company were deployed to conduct random checkpoints against loose firearms and drug trafficking along the national highways.

“As of 12 noon today, we are very happy to report that there was no untoward incident reported from different municipalities in this province that hampered the first day of classes,” Supt. Ecaldre said.
