Cultural Night with INDOMALPHI contingents



PAGADIAN CITYCITY(Nov. 28, 2018) - The Philippines, as the host country for the 4th Trilateral Port Visit and Maritime Training Activity showcased the rich culture of the Filipino people during the Cultural Night held at Eisenhower Hall, Western Mindanao Command in Zamboanga City on November 27, 2018.

Naval Forces Western MindanaoPublic Affairs Officer ENS Jesca May P. Viduya PN disclosed that presented during the Cultural Night are the different Filipino folk dances such as Tinikling, PandangosaIlaw and El Chavacano Dance which were performed by the El Vinta Cultural Dance Troupe.

Viduya said that the Universidad de Zamboanga Dance Troupe performed the VamosA Zamboanga, Belly Bollywood, PangalayHapatong and Janggay dances.

The Cantamos Chorale of Zamboanga Polytechnic College also sung the Filipino song "Tayo'ymgaPinoy", the Indonesian Song "YamkoRambe" and Malaysian Song "Bersama-sama" which amazed the foreign navy counterparts, Viduya added.

They also experienced how to perform the traditional Filipino folk dance "Tinikling" which were also done well by the Indonesian and Malaysian contingents, Viduya also said,

The night was filled with joy and tremendous performances presented by the cultural dancers and chorale, of which had given the foreign counterparts an unforgettable and new experience on their visit here in the Philippines particularly in Zamboanga City.
