DILG releases P10M for water system projects in 3 Zamboanga towns




PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Jan. 29 (PNA) -- The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has released P10 million for the implementation and improvement of water system projects in three municipalities in the region.

DILG Regional Information Officer Lemuel Mejares said the recipient municipalities are Bayog and Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur and Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte.

Mejares said Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur received P3.1 million for the construction of Level II water system in the barangays of Conacon, Liba and Bobuan.

Mejares said the town of Labangan, also in Zamboanga del Sur, received P4.8 million for the expansion of Level II water system in the barangays of Combo, Lower Campo Islam, New Labangan, Old Labangan, and Tapodok and also for the construction of main elevated water reservoir in Barangay New Labangan.

He said that Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte received P2 million for the construction of Level II water system for the barangays of Capase and Pongolan.

He said the fund was released after the identified local government units have fully submitted the requirements such as Bank Certificate, Project proposal, Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) Council, Sangguniang Bayan Resolution, Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Department of Public Work and Highways (DPWH) Assessment, National Water Resources Board (NWRB) Application and Potability Test.
