Pagadian Frontline) Feb.16, 2013 – The Police is now conducting a thorough
investigation and manhunt operation against the suspect mother after the
incident reported recently to their office in Tukuran Municipal Police Station
(TMPS), Zamboanga del Sur regarding the killing of her own 3 year old son.

It was learned that the
parents of the victim were live-in partners having two children. The mother had
been observed of maltreating their children that caused their break-up for more
than two years now.
Police initial
investigation said, on the first week on February 2013, the suspect mother
Clair Rose Ann 27 years old went to the father’s house in Margosatubig, Zamboanga
del Sur and ask permission to bring with her their 3 year old son Jerald Clerk Serenio to Tukuran.
Few days after on
February 7, 2013 the mother returned to Margosatubig bringing the dead body of
the boy and told them that the victim was accidentally bumped by a vehicle that
cause his untimely death and then the suspect left without permission.
The incident was
reported to the police by the father Geronimo Serenio right after the confession of his 5 year old daughter that
their mother maltreated her younger brother, tied with rope, then put him
inside the rice sack and hang with smoke below thus possibly caused his death.
It was found out that
the different parts of the dead body of the victim sustained wounds and severe contusion
that made them decide to take some photos before the body was burried for documentation
and reported the matter immediately to the authorities, the father said.
Records showed no
vehicular accident that causes the death of the victim had been reported to
their office during the alleged period, said Police Inspector Harold Bruno,
Chief of Police of TMPS.
The suspect was already
gone at her residence in Brgy. Manga, Tukuran during the raid conducted by the
police operatives recently and recovered some evidences such as a piece of
wood, rope, one empty sack and t-shirt with blood stains.
The Scene of the Crime
Operatives from the Police Regional Office is scheduled to arrive on Monday February
18, 2013 to exhume the body of the victim and conduct an autopsy.

Follow-up Report
After the conduct of
autopsy by the SOCO from the Police Regional office, the case against the
mother was already filed to the provincial prosecutor’s office with case I.S. No.
IX-09-INV-13B-00094.
Autopsy findings
disclosed that the cause of death is suffocation due to the blood seen in the
gall bladder of the victim.
