One year old Canadian National and Yaya kidnapped by unidentified group

The Police identified the victim Canadian boy as Timothy Mata Sokolov and the housemaid as Caroline Remetre 17 years old were reportedly kidnapped by the suspects on board on Honda Jazz Color Blue without plate number.

The incident happened at about 6:30 in the morning but was not reported immediately to the PNP authorities until 9:00 o'clock when the abductors contacted  the immediate relatives thru cellphone.

Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office Director Thomas Aballar said that the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the troops of the Provincial Public Safety Company were still conducting a hot pursuit operations and random Check-point to track down the fleeing suspects while believed still in the area.

It was recalled that on January 24, 2013 at about 1:40 PM two unidentified armed men forcibly entered their house, tied the mother of the child together with the two housemaids and carted a laptop, assorted cellphones, two licensed fire arms of cal. 45, shotgun, some jewelries, other personal belongings and P10 thousand pesos cash. The suspects introduced themselves as LBC Carrier in order to enter the premises.

Police initial investigation said that the suspects were the same persons who robbed the same house few months before the latest robbery incident.

Russian but a Canadian national, a chemist and managed a gold mining firm in Surigao province while the mother Kareen Maata, is a Filipina and a resident of this city hired a security guard to their house
only during night time after the first robbery incident. 


Police records shows that the suspects always strike during day time. Some residents in the subdivision started to worry regarding the incident because there was no assigned security guard at the gate entrance outpost of the subdivision. 

Ransom 
Three hours after the incident, the abductors first demand thru the cellphone is P50 million pesos but was reduced in their second call to P15 million pesos, Pagadian City Police Station Commander P/SSupt Julius Munez disclosed.

Hot Pursuit operations
The joint government operatives led by the Crime Investigation and Detection group cited the kidnapper's vehicle at the municipality of Aurora and Molve, Zamboanga del Sur, some 40 to 45 kilometers east from Pagadian City
 
As of the press time, the mandhunt opeations aginst the abductors still on going. 

Observations 
The neighbors always seen Kareen (mother) doing walking exercises togehter with the boy using stroller every late afternoon at the vecinity inside the subdivision coumpound near the basketball court. 

Accrodingly, only that early morning they saw the yaya together with the boy playing inside the basketball court where they reportedly abducted by the still unidentifed group.

Caroline is the new yaya of the boy for almost 3 months now.
