Pagadian COP Supt Glenn Dulawan
PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (July 14, 2014-MPF-News) ---  Pagadian City Police Chief Supt Glenn Dulawan had commended the Tricycle Driver as exemplified honest for returning the abandoned wallet found along the city street despite the hardship of life.

Supt. Dulawan identified the driver as Alejandro Mendoza y Saagundo, 36 years old, male and a resident of Purok Caimito, Barangay Tuburan, this City.

Dulawan said Sunday that on July 8 at 5:50 PM he turn-over to the police station one brown wallet containing Driver’s License ID, Company, Land Bank ATM Card, PNB Check with an amount of Php2,460.00 and cash money amounting to Php6,960.00.

The said wallet owned by Samuel Delima y Bongocia, legal age and a resident of NDV Rosario Heights VIII, Cotabato City was found by the tricycle driver abandoned along Roxas Street, Brgy. San Perdo last July 8 at about 5:30 PM, Dulawan also said.

Dulawan added that it was later known that the ATM Card has an existing balance of Php98,000.00 with the security pin written at the back of the ATM card.

“This incident manifested as one of the greatest virtues amidst the corruption issues in our country and from a lowly tricycle driver who is struggling to make both ends meet and without any hesitation, he immediately decided to bring to this police station the wallet despite the temptation and contradicting suggestion of his companions,” the City Police Chief commented.

Dulawan said in his letter to Pagadian City Mayor Romeo Pulmones, he highly recommended to give due recognition to the tricycle driver for exemplary demonstrating honesty and made himself an example to others worth emulating.
