Police files kidnapping case against 4 suspects in Chinese National

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 7, 2014-MPF News) --- The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office had filed kidnapping case and serious illegal detention in relation to RA 7610 or otherwise known as Protection against child abuse, exploitation and discrimination against the 4 suspects involved in the abduction of Chinese National, Police official said.

Officer Chief Inspector Saul E Cabilin said that case was filed yesterday at the office of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with NPS docket no: IX-08-INV-14K-570.

Chief Inspector Cabilin identified the 4 suspects as Ibni Basaludin, Yug Enriquez, Brahama Ali, and Ging-Ging Calon all of legal ages and all residents of Barangay Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The 4 were suspected to be members of Kidnap for Ransom (KFR) group, the police official said.

The 4 suspects were identified during the investigation following the release of the victim Li Pei Zhii also known as Wellie Li, 18, a Chinese National.

The victim was held in captivity for the last two months was freed by his captors Wednesday at Sitio Lugay, Brgy. Naga, in the nearby town of Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay. He was ehe forcibly abducted at his family’s mini mall last Sept.11, around 6:45 in the evening in Brgy. Poblacion Kabasalan, Zambo Sibugay. (JONG CADION)
