PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, Regional Director, speaking before the local media in his first official press briefing, said that at least 2,000 uniformed personnel are tasked to secure 192 cemeteries, 28 seaports, 94 bus terminals and 4 airports in the region to ensure the safety of the public.

“On top of that, the force multipliers categorized as peace and order, civic organization and volunteers has committed to augment the police forces wherein a total of 1, 738 force multipliers are devoted to help the police in securing the different cemeteries in the region” PCSUPT Licup said.

“The public are reminded about security measures, such as to refrain from bringing prohibited things such as firearms, bladed weapons, liquors, gambling paraphernalia, videoke and the likes inside the cemeteries” the Regional Director added.
