3-day VLAP 9th Annual National Convention hosted by Zamboanga del Sur ended today

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (MPF-News) --- The 3-day 9th Annual National Convention and a Celebration of its 50th Anniversary of the 4H-Voluteer Leaders Association of the Philippines (4H-VLAP) hosted by Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur Chapter will be ended today.

The activities participated by more than 300 farmers leaders and members of 4H-VLAP coming from different area nationwide was started on October 1 and to be ended this afternoon today October 3.


4H-VLAP National President Rody Mostar from the Bicol Region said that this is the group of Rural Based Organization under the Agricultural Training Institutes of the Department of Agriculture (DA) that members belong to Rural Improvement club (RIC), the Farmers Association and the 4H-Club that are already at the age of 30 above are become members of the VLAP.

He said VLAP has more than 10-thousand members nationwide coordinating with the DA for the implementation and development of agricultural industry in the country. 
 
The participants for their 2nd day of activities conducted motorcade around the city early morning today then proceeded to Alindahaw Resort in Biswangan, Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur some 40 kilometers west from Pagadian City for their final activities hosted by Zamboanga del Sur Governor Antonio Cerilles.

Mostar added that this afternoon after Lakewood the group will going back to Pagadian City for one of the highlights of the activities is the unveiling of the VLAP Logo and monuments as the landmarks where the 50 years anniversary of VLAP conducted.

He also said that topics being discussed were the strategies and activities for the famers that will also get the interest of their children to continue farming activities in farming and as possible to have finish their studies with related to agriculture not in white collar job as mostly observed.

Mostar expressed his gratitude to Pagadian City and Zamboanga del Sur Chapter for the warmed welcome and great and wonderful hosting of the 3-day event.

The each delegation from different regions also displays their home town products for sale.
