The PDEA recovered and seized from their
possession one heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white
crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, one piece cut rolled aluminum foil
served as gutter containing white crystalline granules suspected to be shabu,
one piece empty transparent heat sealed plastic sachet open in one side with
residue of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and some drug
paraphernalia used during their pot session.

BUUG,
Zamboanga Sibugay (Sept. 7, 2014-MPF NEWS) --- At least 3 members of the Bureau
of Fire Protection (BFP) were nabbed by the joint forces of the Philippine Drug
Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office and Operatives of Buug Municipal
Police Station during the raid conducted at Buug Municipal Fire Station Compound
at Purok 22 along the National Highway of Poblacion Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay
Saturday morning.

Municipal Police Station Officer in Charge Inspector Errie Samuel Perater Bael
said Saturday the raid was conducted at about 10:50 AM led by PDEA Asst.
Regional Director Levi Ortiz arresting 3 firemen identified as SFO1
Arnold Indab y Decena, 46 years old, married and FO2 Jessie Ruales y Perez, 48
years old, married both residents of Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur and FO2
Edwin Dalion y Bahunsua, 34 years old, married and a resident of Bayog,
Zamboanga del Sur.
Bael said during the conducted raid the suspects
were caught in the act of having pot session using dangerous drugs inside their
barracks located inside the BFP compound.
The raid was witnessed by some members of the
media, DOJ representative Athelo Joey Amante and Barangay Kagawad Roberto
Danios, Buug Police Chief disclosed.
The arrested suspects were brought by the PDEA
team for proper custody and for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Municipal Fire Station Fire Marshal Inspector Edgar A. Quitoy also said that he
was surprised regarding the incident because he just left few minutes when the
raid happened.
Quitoy
also said that prior to the raid, they had a weekend meeting with his personnel
at their fire station and before leaving the office he instructed them to
conduct clean-up inside fire station and its surroundings and that surprises
him when got informed regarding the raid.
“I
was already aware of the illegal activities of the 3 arrested personnel and had
already called their attention and even warned them that I was informed by the town
Mayor Jonam Lagas that there were reports regarding their illegal
activities of using illegal drugs and they promised to stop,” Quitoy disclosed.
