PAGADIAN CITY,
Zamboanga del Sur, Sept. 2 (PNA) -– Local and national government agencies have
joined in unison the week-long observance of the 20th National Crime Prevention
Week (NCPW) that kicked-off Monday with a motorcade around this city;s major
thoroughfares.
This year’s NCPW
observance is themed: “Krimen ay Labanan, Karapatan ay Igalang Tungo sa
Mapayapang Pamayanan.”

Cerilles, guest speaker of the NCPW program, reminded the members of the
selection board in-charge in the recruitment of policemen, jail guards and
firemen to scrutinize and select the most qualified applicants.
Cerilles issued the
reminder citing they are the front-liners in the prevention of crimes.

He added that crime
prevention must be observed everyday not only during the observance of the
