PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Aug. 30
(PNA) -- Gunmen suspected to be members of the kidnap-for-ransom-group (KFRG)
have released an engineer and two others they seized last August 15 in Lanao
del Sur, a military official announced Saturday.

Officer-in-Charge Capt. Franco Suelto identified the victims who were 14 days
in captivity as Eng’r. Francisco Enot, his wife, Loida, and their driver,
Danilo Bariga.
Suelto said the victims were freed around
1:30 a.m. Saturday in the boundaries of Madalum and Bacolod-Kalawi towns in
Lanao del Sur.
Suelto said the victims were subsequently
brought to the provincial capitol complex in Barangay Datu Saber, Marawi City
for medical check-up.
He said they were reunited with their
families at the guest house of the provincial capitol.
The victims were seized by five
unidentified gunmen around 5 p.m. last August 15 in Barangay Paraaba, Ganasi,
Lanao del Sur.
They were conducting project inspection
when the gunmen waylaid and seized them. (PNA)
