CAMP
NARANJO, Oroquieta City (May 19, 2018) – The Misamis Occidental Police
Provincial Office (MOCPPO) under the leadership of Police Senior Superintendent
Jaysen Carpio de Guzman recently awarded as the Regional Gawad Kalasag Award
from the Regional Office of the Civil Defense as partner of the best Provincial
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) 2018.
It
may be known that by supporting the PDRRMC and ensure its efforts and
responsibilities to the council in its role in Disaster Preparedness and Response.
MOCPPO and it lower units’ coordinates with the 14 local DRRMC and PAGASA
Advisory.
The
province police force under the direct supervision of Provincial Director
Police Superintendent Jaysen de Guzman always assists in the force relocation
and pre-emptive evacuation of residents in flood prone areas in coordination
with the PDRRMC members-LGUs and other concern agencies
The
police institutes police visibility in the areas, provide security in the
designated evacuation areas and ensure readiness of its own Search and Rescue
Teams even with insufficient equipment and supplies for rescue operations
With
the best effort of other members of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council, the command received the Regional Gawad Kalasag Award 2018
In
other development, Police Senior Superintendent Jaysen de Guzman lately
received a Certificate of Recognition for its initiative in creating Backyard
Gardening to all of its police stations province wide that added more points
and being a member of the Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team MOCPPO sees to
it that the PNP can contribute to the best practices adopted by the Provincial
Nutrition Council to receive the Regional Green Banner Award.
MOCPPO
under the leadership of Police Senior Superintendent Jaysen de Guzman as
Provincial Director effective September 27, 2017 after his acting capacity to
command the provincial Police office last October 2016 initiated numerous and
valuable relative to the Philippine National Police Administrative Program
Trust and resulted the commendable accomplishment be on management, operations,
and social and civic services with honor and justice.
The
command with a total personnel strength of 821 with a police to population at
1:837, MOCPPO has 42 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO’s), 702 Police
Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO’s) and 77 Police Non Uniformed Personnel
(NUP’s) in its area of operation in the 14 municipalities of Misamis Occidental
and three Cities namely: Tangub, Oroquieta and Ozamiz Cities.
Meanwhile,
Police Senior Superintendent de Guzman has also facilitated as he capitalized
each other commitment of every personnel of the Provincial Command and carried
out objectives to truly institutionalized processes as means of contributing
development and improvement of the Police Provincial Command.
For
the past 30 years as the former Philippine Constabulary camp, the lot of which
the first ever erected P30-M Provincial Police Building rises with the help of
Congressman Henry S. Oaminal of the 2nd District is an accomplishment of Police
Senior Superintendent de Guzman after he initiated the lot titling after it was
donated in 2010, to legally owned the 18, 287 sq. meters in Oroquieta City and
a lot for the 2nd Provincial Mobile Police Company in Ozamiz City.
With
the Camp Development Plan (CDP) Initiated by the Provincial Police Director,
the new PNP Standard Provincial Police Building was inaugurated on April 4,
2018 with the former PNP Chief Director General Roland “Bato” Dela Rosa with
Congressman Henry S. Oaminal as the 2nd District Representative who
sponsored the construction of the first standard Provincial Police Building
with air-conditioned rooms and fully equip with fixtures and furniture’s funded
thru the Congressional Local Infrastructure Program. The new building is
dedicated to the good and brave men in uniform of the Misamis Occidental
Provincial Police Office.
In
the three focused campaign of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to get rid of
Illegal Drugs, Corruption and Criminality the command received the Medalya ng
Kadakilaan on August 17, 2017 from the President himself in his visit in Ozamiz
City.
The
Presidential visit is to see the successful implementation of the campaign
against the Parojinog Family that resulted to the untimely death of City Mayor
Reynaldo Parojinog and other member of his immediate family and the arrest
former Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog who were included in the Presidents
narco-politician list and see for himself the captured and collared high and
low caliber firearms from the Parojinogs’ and their supporters and members of
the dreaded Kuratong Baleleng crime group and other allegiances.
Police
Senior Superintendent Jaysen de Guzman received the Best Provincial Police
Office Award of the PNP PRO 10 during the 116th Police Service Anniversary
celebration in Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City due to the command QUAD
Performance and other Accomplishment particularly in the implementation of PNP
OPLANS.
As of
this year, MOCPPO accomplished major operations, in the Double Barrel: Reloaded
from January 1-April 30, 2018 conducted 224 operations and filed cases against
329 persons and confiscated 16,786.1124 grams of the dreaded “shabu” with a
total Dangerous Drugs Board value amounting to P83.9 Million pesos.
On
the campaign against Wanted Persons the provincial police conducted 477
operations and resulted in the neutralization 525 Wanted Persons were 30 Most
Wanted while 495 other Wanted Persons.
In
Illegal Gambling Operations MOCPPO and its 14 Local Police Offices together
with the 3 City PNP Offices conducted 79 anti-Illegal Gambling operations
confiscated/ recovered gambling paraphernalia’s and bet money worth P1.3
Million while in the campaign against Illegal Possession of Firearms, MOCPPO
arrested 119 persons and filed cases against 111 in court, Fas confiscated were
466 assorted firearms and 35 explosives.
As of
this writing, under the leadership of Police Senior Superintendent de Guzman,
MOCPPO has recorded the Highest Number of Drug cleared in Region 10 with a
total of 85 Drug Cleared barangays out of 464 affected Barangays of the 490
barangays of Misamis Occidental.
