Col. Delos Santos said that Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., Commander of the Western Mindanao Command; Brig. Gen. Camilo Balutan, Deputy Commander for Operations; Brig. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, Deputy Commander for Administration; and other senior officers were vaccinated at the WestMinCom Gymnasium, the fixed vaccination site of the command'.
“As the father of the unit, I believe that by setting as an example I will be able to convince all the personnel of the command to getthe vaccine as well,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr.
Cpt. Maricor Ajijul, a military staff nurse at Camp Navarro General Hospital administered the vaccine to the officials.
“Don’t hesitate to get vaccinated, it is not painful and it is safe,” said Brig. Gen. Balutan.
The nurses of the Camp Navarro General Hospital are administering an average of 30 doses of vaccine per day.
“We are hopeful that after being administered the first dose of vaccine, everyone else will be encouraged to be vaccinated too wheit is already their turn,” said Brig. Gen. Nafarrete.
Since the WestMinCom
started its inoculation of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 9, a total of 206
personnel most of which are
military healthcare
