According to Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., Commander of the Western Mindanao Command, combined elements of the 34th Infantry Battalion, PNP 4th Special Action Battalion, and Cotabato Provincial Police Office conducted a law enforcement support operation at Sitio Pedtubo, Barangay Langayen, Pikit.
“While the troops were implementing the search warrant and clearing operation against a certain Taoki Payapat, a.k.a. Alvin, they were able to seize one hand-thrown Improvised Explosive Device, four motorcycles, one M14 magazine, and one ICOM with antenna,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr.
“I truly commend and salute the diligence and commitment of our frontline troops who are behind our multitudes of operational gains,” he added.Troops secured the recovered items and conducted pursuit operations to neutralize the target personality.
“This feat is attributed to the strengthened collaboration between the military and police, and the unwavering support of the people,” said Brig. Gen. Roberto Capulong, Commander of the 602nd Infantry Brigade.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, Commander of the Joint Task Force Central said, “We continue to coordinate and collaborate with our partner agencies to ensure the sustainability of peace and security in our area of operation”.
“We take preemptive and decisive actions to counter attacks employed by
malefactors to inflict casualties on civilian and military objects,” Maj. Gen.
