PAGADIAN CITY (April 29, 2021) - A joint
anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Pag-Asa, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on Wednesday
morning, April 28, 2021, resulted in the apprehension of three drug suspects
and the confiscation of contrabands.
According to WestMinCom Commander Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., the joint elements of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-12, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency,and the intelligence units nabbed a certain Hassan Anggie Hawaan, 30 years old; Mannan Nusuri Muhadi, 48 years old; and Mudzna Anggie Hawaan, 42 years old, all residents of Pundohan, Barangay Simangal, Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi.
Seized from their possession were 14 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be "Shabu" with an estimated value of Php4,760,000.00.
“Our good relationship with the LGUs and other law enforcement agencies like the PDEA and PNP is evident in this successful operation against illicit networks,” said Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas, Commander of the Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi.
“Together with resolve, we can fight this menace which undermines the very fiber of our society effectively. We recognize the unyielding commitment to the mission of our marines and counterparts. Bravo Zulu,” Brig. Gen. Rojas added.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. said, “Team WestMinCom will continue to support the conduct of law enforcement support operations to deter the proliferation of illegal drugs here in Mindanao”. (By JONG CADION with report and photos from WestMinCom-PIO)
