HNFWM,
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Naval Forces Western Mindanao received a donation of more than
50 law books on May 15, 2018.
On
behalf of the Commander, Naval Forces Western Mindanao Rear Adm. Rene V Medina
AFP, the Staff Judge Advocate of Naval Forces Western Mindanao, CPT Federico
Magpantay Jr. JAGS, acknowledged the donations from Ms Girlie Jacala, Sales
Manager of Central Books Supply Inc., one of the foremost publishing companies
based in Quezon City which specializes on the printing of legal materials.
These
books with an aggregate value of Forty Thousand Pesos (P40,000.00) forms part
of the command’s collection of legal references compiled in its Law Library that
is intended for use of PN organic personnel in the prosecution of cases filed
by the command.
These
legal references are significant in the performance of the command’s mission
under the prosecution aspect since references are now readily available at hand
and accessible to future use in cases when a legal matter take place.
The
establishment of the NFWM Law library is in line with the efforts of the
Command to enhance its capabilities not only in the pursuit of those belonging
to lawless terrorist groups but also against other criminal offenders.
