ZAMBOANGA CITY - In line with the upcoming
celebration of the 120th Philippine Navy (PN) Anniversary later this month, the
Naval Forces Western Mindanao will stage the “Run for the Navy 2018” on Saturday, May 19, Navy Official said.
Rear Admiral Rene V. Medina, Commander, Naval
Forces Western Mindanao said the fun run is a 5K run along the scenic Jardin De
Maria Clara Lobregat Gate down to Pasonanca Road, Zamboanga City.
Interested participants can go on-site registration
that will start at 4 o’clock in the morning, stretching at 5:00 a.m while gun
start at 5:30 a.m.
The conduct of the activity aims to promote
awareness and consciousness on the importance and benefits of exercise and
healthy lifestyle to uniformed and civilian participants, Rear Admiral Medina
said.
The fun run will be participated by all
Philippine Navy Personnel, Reservists, Employees and interested Civilians Friends
from the media are also invited to join on the said activity, he said.
