PAGADIAN
CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (April 5, 2018) – Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Governor
Antonio Cerilles commended the new batch of licensed nurses who will enter a
new path of their lives as professionals in their chosen fields and urged them
to be a productive citizens of the community. He also encourage them to
remember and thanked all the people who are behind their success in life specially
the mentors and their beloved parents who made them become who they are now.
Out of
12,869 who passed the recently concluded Nurse Licensure Examination given by
the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last November 2017, 14 of those
new licensed nurses are products of Josefina Herrera Cerilles State College (JHCSC)
Pagadian Campus this province.
The
young and vibrant academic institution as the lone state ran tertiary school in
the whole province has sustained the status as one of the top performing
institution in region-9 especially in the field of Nursing. Guided by its
ultimate mission of molding highly competent and skilled professionals in
various fields of expertise fostered with excellence.
According
to Dr. Mary Jocelyn V. Battung, JHCSC’s Vice President for Academic Affairs,
the new batch of registered nurses of the schools’ College of Nursing marked an
overwhelming 65% passing rate, which is one of the highest percentage in whole
Zamboanga peninsula region. She also reassured that they would continuously
consistent in honing and producing more highly qualified and proficient
professionals that will be a source of pride of the institution and the
province as well.
As sign
of appreciation, the Governor hailed all the names of the new licensed nurses
of JHCSC College of Nursing to include their present addresses live on air.
