CITY (April 24, 2018) - The Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9), headed by
Police Chief Superintendent Billy B Beltran, Regional Director congratulated
Police Officer 1 Madonna Gay Cajocon for winning the crown of the Miss PNP 2018
Ganda Pulis beauty pageant during the coronation night held at the at the PNP
Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, Monday (April 23), official
said.

PCInsp Helen L Galvez said that aside from winning the Ms. PNP #GandaPulis 2018,
PO1 Madonna Gay Cajocon also hailed as Miss MX3, Miss Resorts Wear, Miss Mae
Cosmetics and Miss Above Aesthetics. She also won the Best Evening Gown and
Best in Ethnic Attire, respectively. PO1 Cajocon, who is currently assigned at
the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 Headquarters of the Police Regional
Office 9, will represent the PNP as its Goodwill Ambassadress for promoting the
advocacy on the PNP’s Recovery and Wellness Program (RWP) and the PNP MC No.
30-2017 entitled “Community-Based Rehabilitation Program”, as well as other
projects and programs of the PNP, such as those on Women and Children, in
promoting tourism through TOPCOPs, etc.
Galvez
also added that some of the winners of the major award were the following,
namely: PO2 May Shell J Oro of PRO 10 Northern Mindanao as the Ms. Maka-Diyos
2018 (God-fearing); PO1 Elymor Chrysma V. Caberto of PROCOR: Cordillera Region as
Ms. Makabayan 2018 (nationalist); PO1 Cris T. Pastores of PRO ARMM as the Ms.
Makatao 2018 (humane) and PO1 Ann Jerica Buenafe of PRO 3: Central Luzon as the
Ms. Makakalikasan 2018 (environmentalist). Other special awards were also given
to following, namely: PO1 Cris T. Pastores of PRO ARMM - Best in Advocacy and
Miss Photogenic, PO2 Ria Angelley P. Bero of PRO 4B MIMAROPA –Best in Talent
and PO1 Gearlyn Paga of PRO 4A: Calabarzon- Miss Congeniality

further said that the reigning Ms. PNP #GandaPulis 2018, who is in her
fourth year in the police organization, received her crown, a plaque and a gift
check from PNP Chief Police Director General Oscar D Albayalde and Chief of
Police Community Relations Group (PCRG), the office that initiated the beauty
and brains pageant held at the Camp Crame held on Monday (April 23).
The
PNP’s Search for Ms. PNP #GandaPulis 2018 is part of strengthening public
advocacy in support of the observance of the 2018 National Women’s Month
Celebration with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women.” It primarily seeks
to provide due recognition to the roles of policewomen as builders of good
relationships with the community, which is essential to ensure the success of
the Recovery and Wellness Program of the PNP in its campaign against illegal
drugs and other advocacy works. The contestants came from the 16 Police Regional
Offices, National Support Units (NSUs) and the five districts of the National
Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
