PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.15, 2018) – The Government troops of
Western Mindanao neutralized an ASG Sub-leader at the vicinity off Kalimayahan
Vil Latih, Patikul, Sulu, Wednesday, August 15, 2018, the Military Official
said.

Jesca May P Viduya, Public Affairs Officer disclosed that the Joint elements
from Philippine Marine Ready Force–Sulu (PMRFS) under Col Armel S Tolato
PN(M)(MNSA), Marine Battalion Landing Team 1 led by Cpt Timothy Paul A Cadatal
PN (M) together with 52nd Special Action Company, 5th Special Action Battalion
commanded by PSI Simon Jr. PNP had led to the successful neutralization of the
Abu Sayyaf Group Sub-leader, Abdul Ajim Abdulgani alias Suraka Ingog who is
under the leadership of the late Muamar Askali Group.

Viduya said that his fatality was due to the intensive conduct of Focused
Military Operation and Joint Law Enforcement Operation of the AFP and PNP in
the area.
The
government troops was also recovered from the bandit One Calibre .45 pistol
with 1 magazine, 10 rounds of .45 ammo, 3 rounds of 7.62 ammo and cash
amounting to Php2,241.00, Viduya added.
Viduya also
said that the cadaver of the said ASG Sub-leader was brought to IPHO, Barangay
Asturias for Medico Legal and subsequently brought to KHTB Hospital in Bus-bus,
Jolo, Sulu for proper disposition.

Viduya explained that the neutralization of this ASG sub-leader was a result of
the commitment and continued monitoring activity of the government troops in
the Western Mindanao Area of Responsibility.
The public is assured that the AFP particularly the Fleet-Marine troops
will continue to exercise vigilance in the ZAMBASULTA area to pre-empt any
activities brought by the Abu Sayyaf Group and other lawless terrorist groups
that threatens the peace, stability and development in the area.
