“Our troops from the 34th Infantry Battalion together with the operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-12, and the Midsayap Municipal Police Station were serving a Search Warrant against Tony Mamintal Doloan when they were fired upon by more or less eight armed lawless group members at the target’s residence in Barangay Kapinpilan, Midsayap at around 5:50 in the morning, Sunday,” Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr. said.
“The government forces retaliated, resulting to a 30-minute firefight that led to the deaths of three enemies, apprehension of two others, and the seizure of firearms and drug paraphernalia,” Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. added.

Mamintal, and Fahad
Angangaw while the apprehended were identified as Satar Manticayaw and Hazel Joy Camancho Mamintal.
“They are members of the lawless group known for the conduct of illegal drug trade in the province,” said Lt. Col. Caballero.
The subject managed to escape as authorities pursued him.
Said encounter also resulted in the seizure of one M16 Rifle with a short magazine loaded with four round of ammunition, one M14 rifle with a magazine loaded with three rounds of ammunition, one M4 Carbine rifle with a long magazine loaded with three rounds of ammunition, three motorcycles with no plate number, and seven pieces transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “SHABU” weighing more or less 35 grams and with an estimated value of PhP210, 000.00.
The cadavers of the slain lawless elements were turned-over to Toto Konakon, Barangay Chairman of Kapinpilan for proper disposition while the recovered firearms and suspected drug items were placed under the custody of PDEA 12.Moreover, the apprehended personalities and the recovered motorcycles are currently under the custody of Midsayap MPS for proper disposition and documentation.
“I commend the troops of the 34IB and our partner agencies for this remarkable accomplishment,” said Brig. Gen. Roberto Capulong, Commander of the 602nd Infantry Brigade.
Meanwhile, Joint Task Force Central Commander, Maj. Gen. Juvymax R. Uy said the lawless groups has no place in the province. He is very thankful for the support of the populace by giving timely information that led to successful operations of the government forces.
