PCPT Duco said that Deputy Regional Director for Operations PCOL John G Guyguyon led the men and women of PRO9 in witnessing virtually the annual celebration anchored on the theme “ PNP@30: Kakampi Mo Laban sa Pandemya, Iligal na Droga, Kurapsyon at Terorismo.”
National Police Commission Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Commissioner Vitaliano Aguirre II was the guest of Honor and Speaker at PNP Transformation Oval, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City, Duco said.
Duco added that the gist of the program was to pay tribute to the 28 police personnel who selflessly gave their lives in the service to the people as frontliners during the pandemic.
Police Gen. Debold M Sinas, Chief of Philippine National Police, in his message, urged his fellow police officers to be inspired by them in pursuing an "uninterrupted mission to serve our country and people”.
The PNP celebrates every January 29 as founding anniversary in commemoration of the casing of colors of its forerunner organizations, the Philippine Constabulary and the Integrated National Police, and the official activation of the PNP on January 29, 1991.(By JONG CADION with reports and photo by PRO9-PIO)
