15 out 16 Detainees who Escape from Zamboanga City Jail, Recaptured

PAGADIAN CITY (April 11, 2018) - A total of 15 out of 16 detainees who boltedout from the detention cell of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 (Tetuan) last Tuesday morning, April 10, 2018 were recaptured by the PNP combined elements of Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), Police Official disclose

Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9) PIO Chief Police Chief Inspector Helen Galvez said the detainee identified as Nadzhar Hack Y Basaluddin surrendered to PSUPT Hadjiri J Langgal, Station Commander of said police station at Kasalamatan, Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. The surrendered was facilitated by Barangay of above-mentioned Barangay Chairman Abdul-Aziz C Hanapi at about 11:45 PM of April 10, 2018. On the other hand, Zamboanga City Police Station 4 (Culianan) at Landang Gua Island, Zamboanga City, recaptured at another detainee identified as Ibrahim Adzmir Y Ayang about 12:52 AM of April 11, 2018, She said.

Chief Inspector Galvez added that of the total Sixteen (16) escape detainees, only one escapee identified as Sulayman Sali is remain at large.

Chief Inspector Galvez said that continuous man-hunt operations are still being conducted by joint elements of Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) for possible recapture of the remaining escapee.

Meanwhile, The City Director of Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) PSSUPT Neri Vincent Ignacio ordered the relieved of the Station Commander of Zamboanga City Police Office (Tetuan) PSUPT Hadjiri Langgal including the duty PNP personnel during the escape incident. They were place under Zamboanga City Police Office Holding Unit pending the result of the investigation.
