6 members of lawless elements operating in Zamboanga Sibugay surrendered to the authorities

ZAMBOANGA CITY (April 7, 2018) - Combined elements of Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company, 903^rd Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, Malangas MPS and 44^th Infantry Battalion of Phil. Army, while conducting search/rescue and clearing operations to the abduct victim Laarni Buen and its captors at the coastal areas of Barangay Sinusayan, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.

ZCPO-PRO9 PCInsp Helen L Galvez disclosed that the Barangay Chairman of said place identified as Hon. Ibrahim K Abbas brought six (6) lawless elements to the government troops and signified their intention to surrender. The lawless elements were identified as Esmael T Cader, Abbas Kinawalan, Leden Abbas, Omar Abdurahim, Esmael Pangilan and Aloy Pangilan, all residents of above-mentioned place.

PCInsp Galvez said that the lawless elements turned over the following item: 3 units M14 Rifle, 3 Magazine with 70 rounds of live ammos, 1-unit Garand Springfield, 5 clips with 32 live rounds of ammos, 2 units Shotgun, 6 rounds of live ammos and 1-unit Cal. 45 pistol with 5 rounds of live ammos.  

The six (6) lawless elements are now under the custody of Malangas MPS for proper disposition, PCInsp Galvez added.
