KUTA SANG-AN, LABANGAN, ZAMBOSUR – With only nine
days left before the May 13 National and Local Elections. The 1st
Infantry (Tabak) Division starts deploying additional troops in the Province of
Lanao del Sur to strengthen the security control in the area after a simple
send-off briefing at Hqs, 1ID, Labangan, ZDS on the morning of May 4.
The Newly Assume Commander of the Army’sn Premier
(TABAK) Division Brig. Gen Daniel A. Lucero said that the one Battalion was
organized solely for the upcoming election and it was composed of 12 Officers
and 364 personnel under the command of Lt Col Cornelio T Arboleda. Said troops
will be augmented to 103rd Brigade based in Marawi City, Lanao del
Sur to help boost the number of government forces who are maintaining peace and
security threat. The Battalion will render poll duty effective May 4 to May 15
or depending upon the outcome of the election in the said province that was included
in the COMELEC election hot-spot list. (With reports from DPAO)
