E-AlkanSSSya program launches by SSS in Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Feb.10, 2015-MPF-News)) -- The Social Security System (SSS) has launched Monday its E-AlkanSSSya program in the nearby town of Tigbao of this province.

SSS-Western Mindanao Senior Communication Analyst Napoleon Rabanal II said the E-AlkanSSSya program will cover 40 job order and contractual workers of Tigbao town.

Tigbao, which comprises of 18 barangays, is a fifth class municipality in Zamboanga de Sur with a population of 19,300 according to the 2010 census on population.

Rabanal said the E-AlkanSSSya is a micro-savings program of the SSS, which provides social security protection to government contractual and job order workers.

Rabanal said the monthly premiums will be collected through salary deduction by the administrative officer, who in turn will remit to the SSS.

He added the launching of the E-AlkanSSSya program in Tigbao town is the fifth in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.

He said they have launched earlier the E-AlkanSSSya program in the municipalities of Aurora, Margosatubig, Ramon Magsaysay and Mahayag.

Aside from the E-AlkanSSSya, the SSS also has the AlkanSSSya, which is a micro-savings program designed for the self-employed and informal sector workers, who wish to enroll with the insurance system of the government.
