PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 11, 2016) - In the ongoing intensive all out military
operations against the Abu Sayyaf Group Kidnap for Ransom Syndicate (ASG-KFR)
operating in the Southern Philippines particularly in Zamboanga Peninsula,
Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-tawi (ZAMBASULTA) area, Lugus town Local Gov't Unit
(LGU) in Sulu province also declared all-out war to support the military's
effort.
Lugus
island town Mayor Hadar M. Hajiri, Al Haj said their declaration is also a
respond of President RRD administration three priority all out campaign against
Illegal Drugs, Criminalities and Graft and Corruption.
Mayor
Hajiri said he assured the police and military officials that his island
municipality will be free from any criminalities especially from landing of
armed group ASG-KFR.
Mayor
Hajiri said that together with 17 Barangays Chairman and private sector
particularly the (Civil Society Organizations) CSOs and religious organizations through Interfaith
approach in the said island municipality has agreed to support the creation of
MASA MASID (Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Iligal na Droga)
Program initiated by the DILG (Dept. Interior and Local Government).
MASA
MASID was formally launched by the DILG in Zamboanga City on Thursday. MASA
MASID is a community-based anti-criminality, anti-corruption, and anti-illegal
drugs program that fully support against illegal drugs, corruption and
criminality in the country.
"We
will make Lugus town to be identified as the most peaceful Island Municipality
in the province of Sulu or to be known as 'The Paradise of the Southern
Philippines' because of its beautiful place as the feature tourist destination
in this country," Mayor Hajiri disclosed.
Hadji
Hajiri owned the HADAR POWER and HADAR Shipping Industry in BASULTA area before
he was elected as Mayor of Lugus Island last May 2016 election under UNA and he
was the first Mayor who openly support PRRD's (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) war
against Illegal Drugs and the creation of Federal form of government.
