ASG Member Nabbed in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY (August 7, 2017) - A member of notorious Abu Sayyaf Group was arrested by combined elements of Regional Intelligence Division 9, RPSB9,   Zamboanga City Police Station 4 (Culianan), Zamboanga City Police Office and Military units during law enforcement operation at RPSB 9 checkpoint located along MCLL Highway, Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City at about 3:00 PM of August 4, 2017, official said.

PSUPT DIOMARIE ALBARICO, Officer in-Charge, Zamboanga City Police Office, identified the arrested ASG member as Hamad Ajijul Susulan aka Hajer Sailani/Ahmad.

Hamad A. Sususlan was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of kidnapping and serious illegal detention with ransom defined and penalized under article 267 of the RPC as amended by RA number 7659 issued by hon. Leo Jay T Principe, Presiding Judge Of Branch 1, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Isabela City, Basilan Province.

The arrested person is involved in the kidnapping incident of Golden Harvest Plantation Workers On June 11, 2001 at Barangay Tairan, Lantawan, Basilan Province. He was brought to Zamboanga City Police Station 4 (Culianan) for proper documentation prior turn-over to the court concern.
