PAGADIAN
CITY – TWO persons riding in an XRM motorcycle were shot to death along the
national highway in Barangay Balintawak while on their way to the city proper some
2 kilometers away west of Pagadian City, Southern Philippines.
The
incident happened at about 11:00 o’clock in the morning, October 2, 2012 when
unexpectedly the 2 suspects also riding in tandem shot them thrice at their heads
that led them to death, the assailants fled going to the city proper, Police initial
Investigation said.
The victims
were identified as the back rider, Princess Tual, approximately on her early
30s, business woman, separated and a resident of Pagadian City, and the
motorcycle driver Genere Alvarado Lamban 36 years old, also a businessman and a
resident of Brgy. Buburay, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur both were cousins.
Police
initial investigation said, both victims were coming from the municipality of
Dimataling going to Pagadian City were being followed by the suspects.
Princess
was in Dimataling last night attending the canvassing for Beauty Pageant of
which her daughter is one of the candidates. Early morning upon knowing that
her cousin Genere who owned the motorcycle will be going to Pagadian City she
requested to go with him, Rosalie Lamban, wife of Genere said.
It was
recalled, last year Princess Tual was also shot together with her live-in partner
near the Integrated Bus Terminal. She was able to survive from the gunshot wounds
while unluckily her live-in partner was dead on the spot after sustaining
multiple gunshot wounds.
Princess
is the daughter of retired policeman SPO2 Rudy Tual assigned at the Zamboanga
del Sur Police Provincial Office.
Police
theory said, the shooting incident might had a connection of the previous case
which is now pending in court.
