CITY, Zamboanga del Norte, May 6 (PNA) -– Its all systems go for the holding of
the local and national elections on Monday, May 9, in this city.

Cabrera, acting city election officer, told the Philippines News Agency that
they have not encountered any glitches during the final testing and sealing of
the Vote Counting Machine (VCM) on Thursday.
There
are 87 clustered precincts covering this city’s 50 barangays.
Cabrera
said all the VCMs are already in place and being watched by security forces and
watchers from the different political parties.
Cabrera
urged the voters to cast their vote as early as possible on Monday. Polling
precincts will open at 6 a.m. and will be closed at 5 p.m.
She
said there are 49,177 registered voters in this city. They will elect a mayor,
vice mayor and 10 councilors. (PNA)
