PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (February 15, 2017) - The Bureau of
Domestic Trade Promotion, in partnership with the Department of Trade and
Industry Regional and provincial offices, is set to hold the 2017 Sikat Pinoy
National Food Fair (NFF) on March 15-19, 2017 at Megatrade Halls 1, 2 and 3, 5th
Level of Building B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
With the theme “Piling-Piling Pagkaing Pilipino”, the Food Fair is part
of a series of national trade fairs by the Bureau, which is aimed to help
promising small and medium enterprises (SMEs) reach a wider domestic market.
DTI Provincial Director Maria Socorro M. Atay disclosed that this
five-day retail and order-taking activity will feature fresh produce, processed
food products and local delicacies from 200 SME manufacturers from all over the
country.
DTI PD Atay said that the fair will also showcase organic products, and
a hydroponics garden in one special setting, a halal-certified products
pavilion of the Bicol Region and Zamboanga Peninsula’s selected products.
Product sampling activities, cooking demonstrations, lectures and one on
one consultation services will also be conducted in the run of the fair, to be
rendered by the participating government agencies involved in the food
industry, DTI PD Atay added.
DTI PD Atay highly encourages the local manufacturers, producers and
food processors to visit the fair. Admission to the event is free. The exhibit
will be open from 10:00am until 9:00pm. For additional information, please
