PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga
del Sur (May 9, 2017) - The Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9) shooting team led
by the energetic Regional Director PCSUPT BILLY B BELTRAN excels in the recent
2nd Bato Cup held at Front Sight Firing Range, LPL Estates/Summit
Point, Barangay Inosluban, Lipa City, Batangas on May 2-7, 2017 after the team PRO9
emerged as the champion in 3gun match competition, 5th runner-up in
the over-all team handgun match (pistol) and champion in the individual award
for Handgun Match for Jr. PNCO, official said.
PRO9 Information Officer
PSUPT ROGELIO C. ALABATA disclosed that The team PRO9 adjudged as the 5th runner-up
in the over-all team handgun match (pistol) and champion 3 gun match completion,
edging out the participants from the 79 teams from 18 Police Regional Offices
and 24 National Support Units of the PNP. PO3 Fhunzar Jubail also emerged as
the champion in the Jr. PNCO for Handgun Match.
The team PRO9 is
composed of PCSUPT BILLY B BELTRAN, PCSUPT JONATHAN V ABLANG, PSSUPT JOSE
BAYANI L GUCELA, PSSUPT ALAN M NAZARRO, PCINSP HELEN L GALVEZ, SPO2 RANDY M
BALINGIT, SPO2 EDENCIO G GRANADA, SPO2 RENCHIE A MAGO, PO3 JILBERT T ESCOBIN,
PO3 DELAILAH B ZAMORA AND PO3 FHUNZAR C JUBAIL.
PSupt Alabata said that
the Chief PNP Bato Cup shooting match is the PNP’s continuing effort to promote
competence, professionalism and responsible gun ownership among shooters both
in the police service and the civilian sector.
PSupt Alabata further
said that the competition was graced by no less than the CPNP PDIR RONALD M
DELA ROSA and participated by PNP uniformed personnel from different
units/offices PNP wide, local and international shooters and other gun
enthusiasts in the country. The said match is sanctioned by the Philippine
Shooters and Match Officers Confederation (PSMOC) and officiated by the Match
Officers Organization (MOO).
