Illegally Cut Logs Confiscates by the joint Gov’t Operatives

TUBOD, LANAO DEL NORTE – A total of twenty-seven (27) round logs of different species was confiscated by the joint government operatives led by the Community Environment Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) on Wednesday at 2:00 o’clock dawn, January 30, 2013 in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
 
2nd Mechanized Brigade Commander Col Ricardo Jalad in his reports to the Army’s Premier Infantry (Tabak) Division said, the combined personnel from Philippine National Police both of Lanao del Norte and 35IB under the operational control of 2nd Mechanized Brigade led by the CENRO successful confiscated twenty-seven round logs of assorted species found at the sawmill owned by a certain Eddie Solatorio due to the absence of legal documents while conducting anti-illegal logging operations at Purok 5, Brgy Malingao, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. 

“The foiled illegal operation of sawmill is in support to the mandate of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources”, said MGen Ricardo Rainier Cruz III, Commander of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division.

Likewise, the Tabak Chief is thankful to the concerned citizen who tipped off the illegal activity to the proper authorities. He further encourages the public to join through Bayanihan spirit in mitigating the effect of calamities caused by human activities.
