P/SSUPT. THOMAS U. ABELLAR APPOINTED AS NEW PD OF ZSPPO

PAGADIAN CITY – The newly appointed Officer in Charge (OIC) Provincial Director (PD) of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (ZSPPO) Police Senior Superintendent Thomas U. Abellar formally assumed command today January 14, 2013 to replaced OIC PD P/Senior Supt. Romeo Uy after relieved from his office for his new assignment.

P/SSupt Abellar arrived at ZSPPO Camp Abelon on Saturday January 12, 2013 after he received his designation as OIC PD in ZSPPO from the newly assumed Regional Director P/CSupt Juanito B Vaño,Jr. of the Police Regional Office 9.

P/CSupt Vaño was installed by PNP Chief Alan Purisima on Friday January 11, 2013 at Camp Romeo Abendan in Mercedez, Zamboanga City.

Before his assignment here as PD of ZSPPO, P/SSupt Abellar is one of the PNP Regional Office 9 staff as chief of controller.

“As new PNP PD of Zamboanga del Sur my request is the support and cooperation of people to your Policemen so that we can improve our crime solution efficiency because without the support from the people in the community peace and order in our area will not be attained,” the new PD pleaded.

P/SSupt Abellar in his message to his men after the Flag Raising Ceremony at the ZSPPO Parade ground to work only what is task to them and avoid participation of any activities not within their duties and responsibilities.
