HPG-9 seizes, impounds 43 motorcycles in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, April 18 (PNA) -– Operatives of the Highway Patrol Group-9 (HPG-9) have seized and impounded 43 motorcycles in its One Time Big Time (OTBT) operations in this city.

Supt. Joel Dimaano, HPG-9 director said the OTBT operation is in line with Republic Acts 4136 and 6539. The campaign started Friday and is ongoing.

R.A. 4136 is otherwise known as the Land Transportation and Traffic Code while R.A. 6539 is known as the anti-carnapping act of 1972.

Dimaano said most of the impounded motorcycles were found to be unregistered which is in violation of R.A. 4136.

He said the campaign is also to help the police to lessen if not eliminate crimes by riding in tandem gunmen. (PNA)
