CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (June 21, 2017) - The soldiers from the Joint Task Force
Marawi conducts repacking of goods from various sets of private and public
sectors as assistance to evacuees from Marawi City.
During
the twenty-seventh day of the Marawi riots, thousands of civilians who were
affected evacuated at evacuation centers. As a result, there are many help such
as food, clothing, medicine and water for those affected by the disasters.
Assistance
came from not only in Mindanao but also in parts of the Philippines in Luzon
and Visayas. "Senders can’t be counted and indicate they want to be part
of the aid for our soldiers and other civilians who have been affected by the
fight," said Brig. Gen. Rolly Bautista, Commander of Joint Task Force Marawi.
"On
behalf of your Armed Forces and police, we are sincerely thankful to all who
have helped the victims of this incident. The wishes of our countrymen across
the country show the unity of the people to overthrow the terrorist attacks,"
said Brig. Gen. Bautista.
