ZAMBOANGA CITY (June 28,
2017) - The Police Regional Office 9 will recruit additional 230 newly police
officers under the attrition recruitment quota aims to replenish personnel
losses because of retirement, separation from service or death. The 230 police
recruits will be distributed to various Police Stations in PRO9, official said.
PSUPT AILEEN E ARAÑAS,
Deputy Chief, RPHRDD/Chief, Recruitment Selection Section, said that the 2nd
Cycle PO1 Attrition Recruitment Program is now accepting online application for
initial screening and evaluation which will start on June 1 –June 30, 2017 thru
the PNP website www.attrition.pnp-dprm.com,
a PNP Online Recruitment Application System (PNP ORAS) which is a web based and
central recruitment application system that will simplify the submission of
accomplished PNP PO1 application form while the oath taking of the newly
recruits police officers is set to be scheduled on November 16, 2017.
The interested applicants
must possess the following qualifications: must be a Filipino citizen; a person
with good moral character; physically and mentally fit; must have eligibility:
PNP Entrance (NAPOLCOM), Career Service Professional, RA 1080 (Bar and Board
Examination), RA 6506 (Board of Criminologist), PD 907 (CS eligibility for
College Honor Graduates); must not have been dishonorably discharged from
military employment or dismissed for cause from civilian position in the
government; must not have been convicted for final judgment of an offense or
crime involving moral turpitude; must be at least 5’4” in height for male and
5’2” for female; must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5kgs) from
the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age, sex and; Must not be
less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.
PSupt Arañas said that successful
applicants who will pass the initial screening and evaluation process will
proceed to the following stages of recruitment process: Physical Agility Test,
Psychiatric/Psychological Examination (PPE), Physical Medical Dental
Examination (PMDE), Drug Test and Final Deliberation. Thereafter, oath taking
of the newly recruit Police Officers 1 will take place.
PSupt Arañas further
said that the new recruits will undergo Public Safety Basic Recruit Course for
six months, and Field Training Program for another six months. After which
Police Trainees will proceed with mandatory special training of PNP SCOUT or
PNP Special Counter –insurgency Unit Training course for 45 days to 5 months to
enhance them in militaristic/tactics for future assignment in the different Public
Safety Forces and Police Stations.
