PAGADIAN
CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, March 17 (PNA) -- The police have filed criminal
charges Tuesday before the prosecutor’s office against three people implicated
in the killing of a policeman and injured a student in the nearby town of
Dinas, this province.
Senior
Supt. Sofronio Ecaldre, provincial police director, said two of the three
suspects have been identified as Anwar Ansang, the triggerman, and Pahad Andi.
Ecladre
said the charges against the suspects stemmed from the killing of SPO1 Edwin
Pascia, 43, on Monday in Barangay Poblacion, Dinas town.
The
police official said the wounded student, identified as Norhaha Molahaw, 15,
was hit by stray bullet.
Ecaldre
said the suspects have shot and killed Pascia in front of Dinas Central
Elementary School in Barangay Poblacion, Dinas where he just fetched his wife.
He
said the suspects carted away the victims caliber .45 and 9-mm pistols and
fled.
He
said the suspects were positively identified by witnesses. (PNA)
