3 more Abus surrender in Sulu

PAGADIAN CITY (July 13, 2018) - At around 2:12pm yesterday, three ASG members surrendered to the 101st Brigade/JTF Sulu Commander Brigadier General Divino Rey Pabayo at the Headquarters, 101st Brigade in Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Bautista, Jolo, Sulu, WesMinCom Official said.

LTC Gerry Nesana, WesMinCom spokesperson identified the surrendered ASG as Radjuli Hadjijani, 25 yrs old, a resident of Barangay Ajid, Indanan, Sulu and worked under the late ASG sub leaderAma Maas; Jun-Jun Elah, 45 yrs old, a from Taglibi, Patikul, Sulu under ASGL Radullan Sahiron; and Indek Sahimarri, 28 yrs old, from Lambanah, Talipao, Sulu under Sub-leader Almujer Yadahalso surrendered three (3) Garand rifles.

“The surrenderors said that handing their firearms to me is a gesture of their sincere commitment that they wanted to fully return to the folds of the law,” said BGen Pabayo.

“They are now undergoing medical examination and documentation,” BGen Pabayo added.

Since January, 2018 to date, a total of 127 ASG members have yielded to the troops in the ZamBaSulTa area. Among which 58 yielded in Sulu, 62 in Basilan, 5 in Tawi-Tawi, and 2 in Zamboanga City, he disclosed.

"Our Joint Task Forces are committed in intensifying the offensives to neutralize the remaining lawless elements in their area. The series of operational accomplishments are attributed to our stalwart soldiers on the ground who never falter,” LtGen Dela Vega said.
