DAPITAN CITY – Kinabayo
is the major festival of Dapitan which is worth attending and it is being held
annually in honor of St. James, the greater. Its feast day falls on July 25 but
the City Government usually holds several events starting off on the 15th of
July up to the main day which comprise the entire festival. Dapitanons who are
already residing in other places in the Philippines and outside the country
would usually come home for the celebration as they have such religious
opulence and veneration to St. James, the Greater who nis also the Saint Patron
of the entire Spain.
The entire duration of the festival which is sponsored by Smart Talk and Text, Asia Brewery, Natures Spring, Universal Rubina Corporation, Emperador, IPI, HBC, Virginia Foods, MHuiller, Woe\rld Premiere Probio, Inilab, Nontano Foods Corporation, Jimm’s Coffee and Herbalaya is packed with different activities and events which are unique and full of entertainment
